About this class
Join professionals from across the country for a live online, 4-week Internal Affairs certification program. Attorney Eric Daigle and the DLG team teach every class live from our Learning Center, so you get the same engaging 4.5-day certification training with no travel costs. The class meets online one day a week for three weeks, and for 1.5 days in the fourth week.
The program identifies proper legal and operational standards for Internal Affairs investigations, including sound police practices on the use of force and force-related policies. It focuses on the effectiveness, operations and management of use of force incidents, and on how agencies can investigate incidents and audit to make sure policies and training are being followed. No prior experience is necessary.
Training partner: the National Internal Affairs Investigators Association (NIAIA), a professional association of investigators from police, corrections, fire, EMS and academic agencies.

Attorney Eric Daigle focuses on internal affairs operations and the use of force, specifically the training, investigation and supervision of force and deadly force incidents, along with civil rights litigation, including misconduct claims and employment matters.
Principal and founder of Daigle Law Group, LLC, a firm specializing in government operations, with an emphasis on management and operational consulting. Legal advisor to departments across the country, counseling command staff and officers on legal liability, policy development, employment issues, use of force, laws of arrest, and search and seizure.
He speaks at seminars and conferences across the country on the legal standards for effective and constitutional police operations.
