This nationally recognized conflict resolution and de-escalation supervisor course prepares law enforcement professionals to apply proven communication, behavioral recognition, and tactical response strategies in the field. L.E.A.D.S.™ Plus T – Law Enforcement Active De-Escalation Strategies Training was developed in 2007 and has been taught to agencies throughout the United States.
Delivered in a live virtual, instructor-led format, this course qualifies students in L.E.A.D.S.™ Plus T – Law Enforcement Active De-escalation Strategies and Tactical Options. This course examines practical communication and behavioral strategies designed to improve de-escalation, officer safety, and interpersonal effectiveness during high-stress interactions. Through real-world examples and scenario-based discussion, the course explores emotional regulation, verbal redirection, teamwork language, selective attention, intuition, body language, and behavioral influence. Supervisors will gain insight into how stress impacts perception, decision-making, and communication, while learning techniques to better manage emotionally charged encounters, gather intelligence, improve rapport, and support safer, more effective responses in the field.
