Now more than ever, the discussion surrounding the use of force is critical for all commanders and staff. This seminar will discuss the legal developments in the use of force including an extensive review of the Kingsley case. Discussions will include how the public’s perception of the use of force has changed over the years with an emphasis on legal based report writing, the duty to intervene and de-escalation efforts.
