Welcome to the Officer Involved Shooting Different Perspectives training course. This seminar will examine the investigative best practices for providing a standardized and systematic approach to deadly force and in-custody death investigations. Participants will explore the roles and responsibilities of involved officers, supervisors, internal investigators, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive and impartial investigation process. The course will also discuss legal considerations, evidence collection, scene management, and the impact of public scrutiny. By examining officer-involved shootings from multiple perspectives, this training aims to improve transparency, consistency, and accountability in high-stakes investigations.
