Instructor: Captain Christian Cory
Captain Christian Cory has served over 25 years with the Wichita Police Department and currently leads the Crimes Against Persons Bureau. He brings deep expertise in investigations, having worked in homicide, domestic violence, gang units, and crisis negotiation. Captain Cory holds degrees in Criminology and Forensic Psychology and is a NIJ LEADS Scholar, Executive Fellow at the National Policing Institute, and Co-Director of Project Aletheia at John Jay College. A national advocate for evidence-based policing, he led the department-wide adoption of science-based interviewing and has partnered on multiple law enforcement research projects. Off duty, he enjoys family time, reading, and hunting down vintage pinball machines.
