Officer Involved Shooting: Different Perspectives (26-15-4-A1)

Officer-involved shootings are complex events that must be evaluated from multiple perspectives, including the involved officer, investigators, witnesses, and the public. This course examines how perception, human performance, environmental conditions, and investigative processes influence how these incidents are experienced, interpreted, and reviewed. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how different perspectives shape investigative findings and legal analysis, and why objective, evidence-based evaluation is essential to ensuring fair, accurate, and defensible conclusions.
