Robotic technology is no longer a future concern—it is an active part of modern policing. From bomb disposal robots to surveillance drones and unmanned ground units, these tools are transforming how operations are conducted. But how do they fit within established use of force standards? Do current frameworks already address their use, or are new policies and guidelines required to ensure constitutional compliance and officer accountability? Join Attorney Joseph Race for an in-depth discussion on how robotics intersect with existing use of force standards, what policy updates may be necessary, and how agencies can prepare for the legal and ethical challenges ahead.
Our training experts recommend this course for all officers, ranks, and command staff that are responsible for training.
