A use of force incident does not end when the physical encounter concludes. The period that follows requires officers to remain engaged, professional, and prepared to navigate investigative review, administrative processes, and personal recovery. This course examines the critical importance of sustained engagement after a force incident and the role resilience plays in helping officers remain effective, accountable, and ready to continue serving their communities.

Participants will explore how post-incident responsibilities, organizational expectations, and personal responses intersect following use of force. The course highlights the importance of maintaining professionalism, participating fully in required processes, and recognizing how continued engagement supports both individual well-being and legally defensible outcomes. By reinforcing the value of resilience, preparation, and accountability, this course helps officers understand their role in navigating the aftermath of force incidents while supporting long-term professional success and organizational integrity.
