Welcome to the Chemical Agents: What Rules Have Changed, and What Rules Remain the Same? training course. New laws, expectations, and technology has changed the way we train and use chemical agents.  This course is designed to prepare your agency for using chemical agents as a patrol response and during crowd control.  Concepts covered include:

  • What chemical agents should be used and how should they be used during a crowd control incident?
  • Tactics prior to Using Force

Instructor: Deputy Chief Sean Case

Deputy Chief Case has been involved in law enforcement since 1998, beginning his career with the Los Angeles Police Department and currently working for the Anchorage Police Department in Alaska.  In his twenty-year career with the Anchorage Police Department, Deputy Chief Case has served in various roles including SWAT Officer, K9 handler, School Resource Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Internal Affairs Investigator, Patrol Shift Commander, Patrol and Administration Division Captain.  Deputy Chief Case is a use of force instructor that includes developing, training, and implementing use of force standards, documentation, investigations, and department policies.
