Welcome to the Beyond the Play Button: What Investigators Need to Know. From incident to adjudication, Axon Investigate gives forensic video analysts and crash reconstructionists the speed, structure, and precision needed to turn raw footage into compelling, courtroom-ready deliverables. This course will highlight the power of the Court Package feature, enabling investigators to securely bundle entire projects—including original media, subclips, metadata, and annotations—into a single, shareable zip file. Each package includes a free, locked-down version of Axon Investigate, ensuring accurate playback and preserving evidentiary integrity for court presentations and peer review alike.
This course will show how Presenter Mode transforms digital evidence delivery with smooth, full-screen navigation, real-time annotations, presenter notes, and looping controls—everything you need to guide a judge or jury through critical visual moments. This session also explores the Project Map, a powerful tool for visualizing complex scenes, plotting camera placements, and stitching together annotated paths of travel for impactful timeline reconstructions. While best practices for acquisition will be briefly addressed, this course centers on the efficient, forensically-sound tools that let experts tell the whole story—clearly, securely, and with confidence. See how smarter workflows drive stronger outcomes, from the first frame to the final verdict.

This course will also focus on areas including:

  • How Axon Investigate streamlines video analysis and courtroom presentation through structured, forensically sound workflows.
  • How to use tools like Court Package, Presenter Mode, and Project Map creates secure, compelling, and visually clear deliverables.
  • Understanding how efficient digital evidence management enhances accuracy, evidentiary integrity, and persuasive courtroom storytelling.

Our training experts recommend this course for all officers, ranks, and command staff.
