Welcome to the Visualizing the Timeline: Geographic Analysis for the “First 48” and Beyond training course. This session provides a strategic look at how Axon Investigate’s Project Map feature revolutionizes the review of video, audio, and image data. Designed for both investigators and command staff, this training session demonstrates how GPS and timing data can be synergized to create an efficient, map-based review environment. Participants will walk through the setup process using data from a homicide investigation and showcase the results that can be achieved when digital evidence is visualized geographically.

This course will also focus on areas including:
- Proper collection, preservation, and review of video and other multimedia evidence for criminal investigations, internal affairs cases, and after-action reviews.
- Understanding how video is created and recorded, including frame rates, individual frames, exposure, and other technical factors that can affect what appears on screen.
- Using video analysis to develop investigative leads and support forensic examinations involving issues such as timing, speed, height, comparisons, and other evidentiary questions.

Instructor: Sergeant Christopher Andreacola (ret.)
Christopher Andreacola retired as a Sergeant from the Tucson Police Department at the end of April 2026 following a distinguished 39-year law enforcement career, including 31 years as a first-line supervisor.
Leveraging an academic background in General Fine Arts and Cinematography from the University of Arizona, Christopher became an early pioneer in law enforcement video technology, instructing on Mobile Video Recording for law enforcement starting in the late 1990s. In 2013, he began performing forensic video analysis for the department, and in 2018, he established TPD’s first Video Analysis and Management Unit—overseeing body-worn cameras, in-car video systems, and forensic video operations. Today, Christopher works full-time as a contractor leading the Axon Investigate Training Team at Axon. A recognized national expert, Certified Forensic Video Analyst, and long-time member of the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA), he continues to instruct agencies across the country on the technical capabilities, practical applications, and forensic presentation of video evidence.
