2020 brought significant legislative changes regarding use of force in twenty-seven states and counting. Some of these legislative measures are a challenge to which we can adapt, while others are problematic. Police departments have no choice but to implement some of these new regulations. The challenge for law enforcement leaders is maintaining productivity, efficiency, and most importantly, bringing morale back from an all-time low.

This course will focus on concepts including:

  • Use of force during a Terry Stops
  • Government, non-police entities investigating officer involved shootings
  • Tactics prior to using force
  • When to review force and the degree of scrutiny
  • The new perception of accountability

Our training experts recommend this course for all ranks and command staff.
