This will be much more than a simple “how-to” background investigation course; this course will answer the question as to “why” you conduct legally sufficient background investigations, and what happens if you don’t. We will discuss some of the “how-to’s”, but we will explore these topics in the context of the legal ramifications of background investigation failures. Together we will examine the current best practices in background investigations in order to mitigate, to the extent possible, some of the risks associated with hiring. We will explore legally sufficient background investigations in the context of failure to investigate, failure to vet and failure to thoroughly and completely screen our candidates within the parameters of the law.
